Today we’re celebrating one of the most important inventions for public health: the toilet! Toilets do more than just handle what we flush away—they help protect our communities and the environment by keeping wastewater safely contained and treated.

At OC San, every flush kicks off an incredible journey. Wastewater travels from your home’s private sewer lateral, through your city’s local pipes, and finally into OC San’s regional sewer system to be treated at one of our two reclamation plants in Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach.

This World Toilet Day, show your toilet some love. Remember to only flush the 3 P’s (pee, poop, and toilet paper) to keep things flowing.
